Windsor Safari Park, Windsor, UK 1969-1992

Windsor Safari Park was opened in 1969, it was billed as "Tha African Adventure" and aswell as having a dolphinarium, had avairies, drive-through enclosures and many other species of animals.

The Dolphinarium housed, dolphins, a killer whale, sealions and penguins. The dolphins, whale and sealions performed in daily shows.picture by Tez Bobrowicz

The Park closed in 1992, but was bought by the lego corporation and turned into Legoland Windsor, which opened in 1996.

The dolphins were relocated to Harderwijk Marine Park in the Netherlands.

List of Dolphins Sent to Holland when the park closed:

Honey, born 1967.
Lulu, born 1967.
Prince, born 1974.
Juno, born 8th June 1984.
Neptune, born 22nd June 1985.
Apollo, born 24th June 1989.
Miai, born 30th October 1989.

Lulu is the mother of Juno and Apollo. Honey is the mother of Neptune and Miai.

The only attraction that remains from the Safari Park days (aside from the mansion) is the funicular railway, now known as the Hill Train (pictured below), that links the entrance area of the park with Wild Woods.
