The History of Defunct Marine Mammal Parks

The lagoon closed in 2004, but was refurbished ready for 2 sealions named, Clara and Kelpie. The pool opened in 1985 and Howard, Maria, Mavis and Gary were the four dolphins who used to inhabit the tank. Howard was the only dolphin who survived until the lagoon was closed. The Mall houses flamingos, penguins, tropical fish, sharks and sea turtles and has housed lions, tigers and bears in the past.
